Anne tagged me to fill out the lists below. I couldn't resist since it's lists of "8." I have an unhealthy obsession with the number 8. If you ever want me to win a round of "pick a number between 1 and 10," you know what to pick! It's just such a pretty, symmetrical number. And it's even. Even numbers are quite clearly much better than odd numbers. Here goes:
8 things I am looking forward to:
1. Birthday fun
2. My first full night's sleep without the green light of a baby monitor reminding me that my quasi-peaceful slumber could be interrupted at any moment (3 times last night, the little stinker! Thanks to Mikey for taking the first one.)
3. Our next trip to Connecticut, whenever that may be. I miss my family!
4. A summer of swimming fun with William and Mikey at Grams and Gramps' house
5. An upcoming sushi-eating extravaganza with Mikey
6. All of William's firsts - so far, they have not disappointed in the excitement category
7. Nightly summer walks with all my boys, including Buster
8. Testing my mommy aptitude when Mikey is out of town for 5 days. I'm up for the challenge! OK, so I'm ever so slightly petrified since he's so darn helpful all the time. But I know we'll be fine.
8 things I did yesterday:
1. Took a nap
2. Bought salad dressing for 19 cents. I love coupons.
3. Talked to Danielle
4. Ate ice cream
5. Admired Mikey's hard work cleaning out our side yard
6. Thought about preparing for hurricane season
7. Enjoyed a peaceful dinner at the dining room table with Mikey
8. Read way too many blogs, mostly by people I don't even know
8 things I would like to do:
1. Travel again - a boat in the Caribbean, Spain, Italy, Greece, Tahiti, Australia. So many places call my name.
2. Become a better and more confident cook
3. Be the best mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend I can be
4. Go back to work someday, doing a job that inspires me
5. Continue my quest to learn about photography
6. Have a house in the Hill Country
7. Get back into exercising
8. Buy a home that we can watch our kid(s) grow up in. It must have a nice-sized back yard and enough space for my family so they don't have to stay in a hotel when they visit! Oh, and it HAS to have an indoor laundry room. Forget this garage nonsense.
8 shows I watch:
1. The Ellen DeGeneres Show
2. Bachelor/Bachelorette
3. American Idol
4. Dancing With the Stars
5. Grey's Anatomy
6. Desperate Housewives
7. Any incarnation of the Real World
8. America's Next Top Model
I am supposed to tag 8 people to do this, but I don't think anyone who regularly updates their blog reads mine other than Anne and Jennifer. So I tag J-Go and her Multiple Multiples, if she should choose to accept this mission.
