The countdown is on

Mikey will be home from a work trip to Atlanta in just a few hours. This was my first time being on my own with William for any significant length of time. I am happy to say it was a success! That is thanks in no small part to friends/family who made sure I had some adult interaction every day. William enjoyed spending time with Danielle, Jennifer, Monique, his grandparents and Aunt Amy. He probably actually had a lot more excitement than a normal week because I made a concerted effort to get out of the house a lot.

We missed Mikey tremendously, but I'm glad he was able to get this work trip for training under his belt. Don't be fooled - he wasn't a worker bee 100% of the time. He went to a Cubs/Braves game (pretty much his two least favorite baseball teams, so he didn't root for anyone), played some basketball, ate good food, and drank way more beer than he normally would if he hung out with us all week. It's back to the real world of pureed foods and bibs, but I know Mikey cannot wait to give his boy a big old hug and spend lots of quality time together this weekend.

I actually got more done this week than I normally do. I think I just took better advantage of naptime since I typically know that I will have a few hours at night when Mikey can take William so I can be productive.

Here are some recent W pics. I love it that he is sitting up on his own now. I feel like it's easier to get good photos with him sitting up because he interacts more with us and his environment.
