OK, it's high time I post about our little news on here. I don't know why I have hesitated to do it for so long. I think it's because we have so many great friends, and I didn't want people to find out for the first time on my blog. I still have a few people left to tell, but I really don't think they read the blog. And if they do, they probably gave up on it months ago!
Well, there will soon be a baby Brown joining the world! I will be 13 weeks pregnant tomorrow. I feel so fortunate to be able to say that I have had zero morning sickness. That made me nervous in the beginning because I didn't feel pregnant, but I have since talked to a number of people who weren't sick and ended up having beautiful kiddos.
It's hard to believe how much our lives are going to change in mid-November (due date of November 14). Of course I have heard the typical "You will never sleep again," but I have heard so many amazing stories from parents who are deeply in love with their kids. At my family reunion, Brian told us that yes, we will be exhausted, but we will find stores of energy we never knew we had because we will be so elated that we created life. It's pretty powerful when you say it like that.
Oh, and to reward those of you who have read this far down. IT'S A BOY! We got an early gender blood test done, and the results came in today. Of course it's only 98-99% accurate and will be confirmed in about a month, but we are so delighted that we will have a son! And Buster will get a baby brother. :)
Thanks to all of our friends and family, who have been so supportive and excited for us. This journey is only just beginning, and we can't wait to experience it with you all!
