If sharing is caring...

...then William could not care less! He has gotten to hang out with lots of little friends lately, but he sure doesn't get the concept of sharing yet. I know it's too early for that, but I still feel bad when he insists on stealing the same toy from a kid over and over, or even when we are out, and he decides something is his, even though it clearly is not. The only successful sharing that goes on in this house is with Buster, who is kind enough to share his bone most of the time. (No, W isn't allowed to bite it - he just likes to hold it). Truth be told, Buster knows he doesn't have a say in the matter!

Regardless of the life lessons not yet learned, we have really enjoyed hanging out with friends over the last couple of months. I will share a few of the many pics I took. I can't resist capturing all these cuties!

Colton knows that playing with other people's toys is so much more fun than playing with your own.

Twins Jackson and Colton making beautiful music! At least that's what I'm telling myself. Something tells me it's good my memory fails me on this one.

We went to the park to let the boys run around and tire themselves out. I'm not sure that has ever worked for William. He seems to have boundless energy.

Although this picture is rather blurry, I LOVE it! Jackson decided to take the ball William had been playing with. My little man looks like he's about to explode.

I hosted a playgroup where people could get their kids' hand and footprints turned into little pieces of art, and the following pics are from that day. It was boy city over here! I think I counted nine boys and one girl...and the girl is a newborn, so she wasn't able to boss the boys around just yet.

William really wanted to show Jaxton how it's done in the kitchen.

"Jaxton, things would be great if you would move about five feet to your right and observe the master at work."

Jaxton got to play in peace on the fire truck for about four seconds while William was otherwise occupied.

William actually sat on the fire truck behind him. Keep in mind this is not a toy built for two. I took a picture of the shenanigans, but you couldn't even tell W was on it from that angle because W was SO close to Jaxton.

Baby Caroline representing for all the ladies out there!

It's a miracle our house was still standing after being taken over by all these boys.

Will was a perfect angel when it was his turn for the handprint. He actually asked if he could do it again. I guess it is a lot like very controlled finger-painting.

Check out Hunter's hair! Apparently it always looks like that. I love it!

Andrew (in green) was the big boy of the group. It cracks me up how kids will play with anyone's toys, no matter what age they are intended for. Then again, Mikey and I have been known to play with W's toys.

The classic Slinky was a big hit with Tyler.

We made a quick trip to the livestock show with our friends Cody and Leslie, and their baby, Carson. The boys liked the petting zoo, and it was fun to show them the real-live animals that we all read about in their books. I think they will really be into everything next year. I'm going to have to come up with a carnival game plan to convince W to spend $20 on something he really wants instead of wasting $20 or more and ending up with some four-foot-tall Tweety Bird or Scooby Doo.

FInally got it

William started babbling the cutest sounds in the last week, and I finally got him on video a few minutes ago. The part I think is so adorable is what he says after I ask him to say "baby." He did actually say "baby" today for the first time, but clearly the sound of that word leads him to the babbling that cracks me up.

This and that

There is no theme to this time other than it contains pictures I would like to show you. Enjoy!

I find it hilarious that he hugs inanimate objects by putting them up to his ear.

This is Boomerang, named after our favorite sea lion at the Mystic Aquarium.

William and Buster are best buddies. I think Buster likes the babe even more now that food on the floor is an everyday treat. He bolts over whenever he hears one of us say "All Done!" He knows that means it's time to clean up William's mess. Apparently he isn't too picky because he eats everything from broccoli to blueberries to tortillas with hummas. The pictures below were taken one night when the boys started playing together. I promise I didn't stage a single picture!

Let's play together. You have your toy, I have mine.

Lookie lookie - wouldn't you like to try this tasty oven mitt?

Time for the old switcheroo.

W: Mission Accomplished B: Hey wait a minute. Give it baaaaack.

Yee-haw! Buster was so happy to have his bone back that he didn't budge when W climbed aboard.

Just a little bit of blush...

We did end up buying a bike trailer so Mikey can take William for bike rides around the neighborhood. W loves it! He cried and climbed back in after their first ride was over.
