'Twas the Night Before Christmas

We started our official Christmas Eve festivities with the family service at Chapelwood. Who knew there were so many children in the city of Houston?! We sat in the second to last row in case William got too fussy, but Grams and Mikey did a great job keeping him quiet. The service definitely wasn't quite as moving as a candlelight service, but it was nice to go to a kid-oriented service.

After church, we went to Molina's for our usual Christmas Eve Mexican dinner. William slept through dinner like a champ. Little did we know he was saving up for when we got home!

The photo below pretty much explains what the rest of our Christmas Eve entailed!

William was a fussy fellow for much of the night. I was supposed to make sausage balls, but Mikey had enough screaming in his ear, so we switched off and I took our little fussbudget while he cooked for us.

Our sweet boy finally tired himself out with all the crying, and Mikey started a new tradition of reading "The Night Before Christmas" to William. Megan gave him the book for Christmas and told us to open it on Christmas Eve - what a great gift! The tradition will continue for years to come. It'll be right up there with watching "A Christmas Story" about 9 times every Christmas. Thank you for that opportunity, TBS.
