William went in for his 1-month checkup today, and he now weighs 10 lbs 7.5 ounces! That is a full two pounds more than he weighed just 3 weeks ago. He is now in the 75th percentile for weight (was in the 50th at birth).
He clearly has his father's genes as far as his height is concerned. He is in the 90th percentile for height at 22 5/8 inches (also in the 50th percentile at birth).
My sweet son slept like a champ last night, and I am just delighted. I feel so well-rested today! I fed him at 10:30 pm, 3:00 am and 6:30 am. It typically takes me an hour from the time he wakes up to when I go back to sleep. Now this would not have sounded good to me 6 weeks ago, but boy was it ever wonderful. Another key is that he is sleeping in his pack n play next to our bed now. He was previously only getting good sleep if he was sleeping on one of us. That meant he slept well but we didn't. Now I in no way think last night was indicative of what's to come - every day is different. But I am thankful for the sleep I got!
Grammy is going to swing by for a visit tomorrow night (she's in Austin for business). Even if it's for less than 24 hours, it makes me so happy to have my mom visit. I think Mikey will go out while we watch Prince William. It's only fair since I had a girls night out last weekend. Let's hope William isn't as fussy for us as he was for Mikey! At least there'll be two of us.
Random side note - we lost power for about an hour last night, I presume because of the snow/temperature/wind. It wouldn't have been a big deal if we didn't have a baby, but it's funny how situations like that seem so different when you are responsible for someone else's well-being and happiness. The temperature in our house went down 6 degrees in the time the power was out. Don't worry, we were all bundled up. We were talking about going to Mikey's parents' house if the power didn't come back on soon. Thankfully it did, but I must admit that the candles all around the living room created a really nice feel...if only it wasn't so darn cold!
