Instagram Mania

I am so happy to be able to capture everyday moments with my phone. It doesn't hold a candle to the big kahuna camera in photo quality, but it makes up for that in the ease/speed with which I can snap a picture (or 12). These are all from August. I left out the pictures from our beach vacation. Those will come in a later post. Enjoy a glimpse into our everyday lives!

This was right after we got back from Connecticut. The kids were thrilled to be reunited with their toys.
This picture sure got a lot of attention on Facebook. The boys were at Grammy and Grandpa's, and they went swimming in a chlorinated pool (they are used to swimming in a salt water pool). Both of them rubbed their eyes a bunch, and when Ryan woke up from his nap, the thread used to keep his tear duct open had come out. It wasn't able to exit fully because it was knotted at one point to form a loop. Somehow Ryan never noticed it! We tried to keep William from mentioning it. I was able to take him in to his ophthalmologist the next day. A mere several-hundred dollars later, and the "foreign body" was removed from his eye. You wouldn't believe how upset I was that they charged for a surgical removal of a foreign body. He had a previous surgery, and you PUT IT THERE. I could have removed it myself if someone had put numbing drops in his eye and held him down. All he did was pull the loop until he could reach the tiny knot, snip it with scissors and pull it out. Grrrr!! On a happy note, his eye has been great ever since. Finally the world sees only those beautiful baby blues!

My MOPS group went to Wonderwild in the Heights. It was a little stressful now that they are both all over the place, but it was fun, and a lot of moms were there to keep eyes on each other's kids. This kid-powered train is really neat.
Handsome boys with new haircuts. It was my first time to take both of them by myself. I got a nice little break because two ladies were available, so they went at the same time, and I got to kick back and watch.

This was their first time in the car cart together. It worked great for a few minutes. A little bit of fighting ensued, but for the most part they liked it.
So sophisticated! He struck a pose for me at the oil change place.
Three boys relaxing in bed.
Having construction in our neighborhood is a rarity. These guys loved it!

My heart swells when they play well together. I try to savor those moments because they are most often followed by screaming/whining/tattling. But we take what we can get! They really do adore each other.
Fun at Monkey Bizness

William is a little too old for the toddler/baby area, but it wasn't crowded with babies, so I let him play for a bit.

So happy that he now loves to bounce in these things! It took a couple of years for that to happen.

For awhile, Ryan asked me almost every day to put on one of my bathing suit tops. It cracked me up, which is probably why he kept asking.

A fun lunch at Chick Fil A with our buddy Jackson.
