What my iPhone saw in September

What on earth?! He woke up from his nap with this crazy swollen eye. I sent this picture to a friend who is a nurse. We ruled out new sheets, detergent, foods, etc. We gave him some Benadryl. It went down a little bit over a couple of hours, and then the swelling slowly went away over the next few days. Weird!

The crazy eye didn't keep him from bowling. 

Post-nap playtime in William's room. 

They still love our (pretty lame if you ask me) nearest splash pad. It doesn't take much! They haven't spent any time at nice splash pads, so they don't know any better.

I happened to snap this right when they crashed and burned at the same time. They were tough and went back to playing.

They usually ignore the little kid playground at this park. Not this time.

He really likes to get down on the ground these days - in good times and in bad.

We met the nicest firemen when we were out shopping. The captain invited us to take a look in the truck and then took this picture for me.

I felt bad that William wasn't there because he would have loved it.

Luke's birthday at Noah's Ark was a blast! 

William finally got up the nerve to slide down the "big" slide.

Matzke Park rocks! We had a fun playdate with my MOPS table there.

Grace, the boys, and Emmerson actually sat still long enough for us to get a picture. Well, Grace didn't have much of a choice.

Mikey sent me this picture of their fancy picnic one night when I was out. A nice meal and college football - not bad! 

This makes me laugh. Mikey had to hold William back so Ryan could score a goal. William is a bit of a ball hog. 

This is so picturesque to me. Life is good!

Jackson had Mason, the class monkey, for a week. The boys were thrilled to take him on a train ride around Memorial City Mall. 

More fun with Mason. 

Ryan did not enjoy the carousel at all the last time I took him on one. He was all about it this time around. Maybe he wanted to impress the big boys. 

This was soon after he puked. He stayed happy for the most part.

Poor sweetpea. The stomach bug wasn't as bad as it could have been for him (just a little puking, and it didn't last long), but I hated to see him like that for even a minute. 

Happy boys on a football game day. 

The stomach bug struck William a few days later. Mikey made a barf bag just like the one he remembered from his childhood. The boys enjoyed playing with it. :) 

Watch this video. Trust me on this. The boys love reading Charlie Brown comics. This one really entertained William. We kept it around for well over a week, and he learned the whole thing. I'm so glad I recorded it.
