We left a little after nine, so we got there pretty early. I'm so glad we did that because by the time we left around one, the place was so much more crowded. This was our first big test of the double stroller (a Baby Jogger City Mini), and I LOVED it. The thing steers like a dream and does in fact fit through standard-sized doors, even though it doesn't look like it will. The basket underneath is completely useless, but we made do with a backpack.
William really enjoyed seeing all the animals. The piglets were so adorable. They were of course nursing since they were only days old, and William said "the little pigs were eating the big pig." I decided not to explain. Another pig did his business right in front of us, and he still talks about that. Boys!
We skipped the carnival for what will probably be the last time. He didn't seem to care, and it was about time to go home for nap anyway.
As you can see below, William got his first taste of a funnel cake. I have a ridiculous love for funnel cake, so I thought I should share (as opposed to going into a corner and devouring it all by myself).
