Quick visit

Mom and Michael headed to Belize for winter break, and they planned it so they could have an overnight layover in Houston. Mighty kind of them if you ask me! Michael has a bit of a thing for Sonic, so we picked up Sonic for dinner and just hung out. While I was sad they were here for such a short time, it was kind of nice because it felt normal. It was only three years ago that they lived across town instead of across the country. A three-hour night spent eating and chatting was the norm, not the exception.

Michael got to meet his second nephew, CC got to love on both of her grandsons, and we soaked up some family time. We went out and played a little soccer in the cul-de-sac since the February weather was altogether pleasant. I have to say that we love living on a cul-de-sac more than I ever thought we would. It is wonderful to just step outside and have a huge place to play. And as you can see from the pictures below, the developer put a greenbelt through the center of the community, which means there are only three houses (including ours) on the cul-de-sac. Mikey commented the other night that we look up in curiosity every time someone drives by our house because it's such a rarity...even with neighbors who have four drivers in one house.

William now thinks that CC lives in "Beweez." Who knows, it may happen someday!
