Freeze frame

Can I please just freeze this moment in time? OK, Ryan is allowed to expand his sleeping abilities and increase his happy awake time by quite a bit.

But William needs to keep up the cuteness for a few more weeks. His vocabulary has expanded exponentially since his brother was born. At 23 months old, a speech therapist said he had the expressive speech ability of a 15-16 month old. Just two months later, she did a rough estimate and said he's probably around 33 months in that area. I am LOVING listening to all he has to say, and I find his pronunciations mighty cute. Here is some of what I want to remember from this time in his life:

William = Him Him
computer = compoopoo
noodles = nunu
doggie = goddie
garbage truck = gup gup
yes sir sounds remarkably like "yeah, ho" - and we have to praise him for it since he thinks he's saying the right thing!
"music" sure sounds like "Monique"
On Christmas, he said "Thank you Santa my bike."
Basketball, football and baseball sound so similar to each other. They are "buttball," "pootball" and "bayball."
He will yell "Daaaadddddddyyyyyyy" when he wants Mikey to come play with him in the other room. I'm sure this will get old, but it hasn't yet.
I think the longest sentence I've heard him say is "Mommy change Ryan's diaper in there." Pretty good considering he didn't really have two-word phrases two months ago.
He is currently in his room, where he should be sound asleep. Instead, he knows Mikey is watching football down here, so he is on the floor with his face at the bottom of the door saying, "Go baby, go baby, go baby!" My little sports fan.

Don't get me wrong. This kid has some moments when he displays his typical two-year-old attitude for all to see. But for the most part, he's a happy, chatty child who makes us laugh until we can't utter a word ourselves.
