We paid someone to mow our yard at our old house, but Mikey is now my lawn boy. He does a bang-up job, and William loves to watch. I actually tried my hand at the lawn mower last weekend, just for kicks. It was interesting for all of five seconds, then I was ready to be done with it. Power tools just don't speak to me. Anyway, (great) Aunt Lisa and Uncle Bobby got William his very own bubble mower for Christmas. In true male form, he is most interested in tinkering with it.
I had been thinking about getting a little table and chairs for W, but of course I didn't want to pay retail. IKEA had a really good sale on the white set below, and I couldn't pass it up. I knew William would love it since he is a chair-climbing machine at the library. He basically wants to sit in every kiddie-sized chair in the place. As for the books, he could take them or leave them. It's all about the seating. At home, however, our little guy is a reading machine. He usually wants us to read to him, but he will occasionally plop a book on the table and "read" it all by himself.
Speaking of chairs, William thinks he owns this one in our bedroom. He spends hours every week throwing little plastic balls to/at us from the chair. He recently learned that he can push the bottom cushion off the chair and onto the floor. I'm not sure why that's better. It's certainly less comfortable. I guess it's easier for him to get in and out since the point of entry is several inches lower. I just love this picture.

And with that, I am caught up through March. Next up, Easter, my family reunion, and lots of random William pictures. Surprised??
