When Mikey's mom told us she wanted a karaoke machine for her birthday, I'll admit I thought it was a little...I don't know...7-year-old girl's birthday present in 1992. But in that family, you get people what they ask for, so a karaoke machine it was! It was funny reading all the reviews when we tried to decide which one to get. Almost all of them referred to the machine being a child's birthday or Christmas present.
We busted the machine out as soon as she opened it, and we all got into the spirit of karaoke-ing! Amy had bought some good oldies karaoke CDs, so it was easy to find songs we all knew. The only rule was that everyone has to sing along, not just the one who was lucky enough to be holding the microphone.

I think William was a bit shell-shocked that we were doing something that didn't somehow revolve around him! He was a good sport though.

I love the first picture. William looks like he thinks he is way too cool for it all.
