...at 11:07 a.m. on 11-7-08? I know precisely where I was! In the OR at Texas Women's listening to my sweet baby's cry and seeing him over the drape for a brief moment before they cleaned him up and brought him over for family picture time.
What a surreal moment that was. And what a crazy thought that he is now six months old! I honestly can't remember what day-to-day life was like before he was born. What in the world did we do with our time?!
He had his six-month check-up today, and he is officially 17 lbs 6 oz and 26.5 inches (50% for both). That's quite a change from 8 lbs 1 oz and 20 inches at birth. He now has one tooth that has poked through the gums with another one soon to follow. He can roll over both ways, and the doctor said William was trying to crawl on the table. I had never seen him make that particular move, but he did look like he was thinking about going somewhere. He was an absolute angel when he got his shots. I think he cried for maybe 15 seconds. He was smiling again before the nurse even left the room. What a champ!
It sounds like he just woke up from his brief post-shots nap. More thoughts/photos to come on William's half-birthday! Happy 6 months, Sunshine!
