The boys brought me breakfast in bed that morning - Pillsbury cinnamon rolls, my favorite. William gave me a sweet card that he drew on. I spent a lot of the morning in bed, either napping, watching whatever I wanted to watch on TV, or just hanging out with the boys. When I finally emerged, the house had been cleaned! I'm not sure when exactly Mikey did it, but he cleaned it all! It made for such a relaxing weekend because I didn't feel the need to run around and do things. I could just enjoy my guys. That afternoon, they ran errands with me, and then Mikey made dinner that night. I should add that he makes dinner about 90% of the time because he's just the best. But it's extra special on Mother's Day.
On Sunday morning, Mikey gave me a sweet card from him. We talked to my family on Skype in the morning so I could wish my mom a happy day in person. I hit up the grocery store earlier than usual (much less crowded!) and then went over to see Grams, Gramps and Aunt Amy...and swim in the pool! William is my little water baby. He loved it! Luckily, they heated the pool, which helped make it comfortable for all of us, but especially William. He was probably in the pool for 20 minutes or so, and Mikey even put his head under twice. The little champ never complained. Grams said to count 1, 2, 3, and then blow in his face a few times so when he hears the 1, 2, 3, he will automatically hold his breath expecting you to blow in his face again. After several repetitions, you can dunk him under, and he'll hold his breath. It seemed to work like a charm. I think William will do a lot of swimming this summer!
All in all, it was a wonderful weekend. I am so lucky!
