I could get used to this

Well, William and I are supposed to be boarding a plane bound for Houston in an hour, but due to the terrible weather pummeling Texas, we are staying in Connecticut for two more days. If I was flying alone, I wouldn't mind toughing out the delays to get home and have Sunday to catch up on everything. But doing that with a 5-month-old isn't at all appealing. As of now, our flight is scheduled to arrive in Houston at 1 am. No thanks! Update: The flight ended up being canceled, and it was the last one of the night.

Instead, we will stick around the Mann house, which by the way is a swell place to be. I think they are trying to fatten me up to eat for Thanksgiving or something. Since I have been here, the smorgasbord has included:

Homemade fried chicken
Green bean casserole
Mom's famous parmesan chicken (NOT chicken parm - much better than that)
Take out Italian
Bacon, bacon and more bacon
Cupcakes
Brownies
Pork chops
The most sinful mac n cheese you could imagine
Neil's special made-to-order omelets
Pot roast
Spaghetti and meatballs

Of course we miss Mikey and can't wait to see him again, but this is quite the pleasant place to be. Plus, he's living it up at Tim's ranch this weekend. He sounds just about as relaxed as I have heard him in years. Not like he's ever a bundle of nerves, but you know what I mean!

William has adjusted well. The first two nights, he was a little bit off sleep-wise, but the early morning naps provided by my folks made up for the middle-of-the-night wakings. Now we are in a decent routine, although he is definitely running the show.

There are so many other things I could write about, but in the interest of getting this posted before my little buddy wakes from his nap, here are some photos from our trip!
