On Friday, we met Anne, Doug, their kids Andrew and Tyler, plus Tim and Apollo at a park near where we all went to high school. We had a picnic dinner and then released the kids to play. And by kids, I mean grown-ups. Tim, Doug, and Mikey enjoyed a nice long game of catch while Anne chased after her little ones and I pointed W in the direction of the action and let him watch.
Anne is a wonderful photographer, and she had her camera at the park. Hopefully she got some good shots of, say, the children! I tried, but I wasn't very mobile since I had William on my hip the whole time.
On Saturday, we went to the Easter egg hunt at church. The main reason I wanted to do this is that William and I will be in Connecticut for Easter. I wanted to do something Easter-y at church with Mikey and William. They had a kid's service and a hunt. Well, it's not much of a hunt since they just toss a bunch of eggs on the lawn and let the kids have at it. I was glad we went, but it wasn't the most enthralling event I've ever been to! I'm sure it'll be fun for W in a few years when he has friends at church.

And yes, I was so lame as to take pictures in the chapel. I have a good excuse though - Mikey and I got married in the chapel, so I wanted to commemorate W's first service in there!
After that, we went for Easter egg hunt #2, this time at the home of Grams and Gramps. The fact that William is too young to hunt didn't put a damper on the festivities...after all, I have been the youngest participant every year for about ten years! In addition, I have lost every single time, including when I have had head starts. Not this year though. Mikey "I am the greatest Easter egg hunter on the planet" Brown came in last!!! Ohhhhhh yeah. I got third this time. I'm not sure what was sweeter - me not losing or Mikey bringing up the rear. It's rather funny that second-to-last felt like sweet, sweet victory. It's all about your perspective I suppose.

To round out our fun day, we tried out Five Guys burgers. They lived up to the hype. So delicious!
We intended to do bluebonnet pics of William today but got lazy. This afternoon, I met three of the ladies from our Sunday School class for margaritas and lively conversation. We have all had children in the last year, so much of the talk revolved around solids, sippy cups and sleep. But we managed to get in a lot of laughs and soak in (a little too much) sun on the patio. My left arm is ridiculously red, but that's OK! The weather was so gorgeous.

Rewind a bit to earlier this week. Mikey and I got to meet the newest member of our Sunday School brood. Aidan is absolutely precious! William can't wait to play with the little guy soon.
And now for some random pics...

Great photos! Thanks for the compliment, I did get a couple of cute shots of W that I will send when I get a chance.
My favorite photo is the one on the khaki background -- too cute of a smile!
