It seems that my photos for October fall into two categories...Halloween and everything else. This will be my super random October post. As you will see, we spent a lot of time outdoors in October. Admittedly, Houston summers are brutal, but we have some months of really fantastic weather.
| Sweet, sweet boys. |
| Acorns were EVERYWHERE! Apparently we were due for a high number this year, and then the drought exacerbated that even further. |
| Giant umbrellas are fun! |
| Ryan and I went to K2 Academy with Taylor and Carter. Fun! |
| Look at that balance! |
| He said he wasn't worn out. Ha! |
| Dr. William is deep in concentration. |
| Here is the difference in how they eat spaghetti (and do a lot of other things). William hardly gets a spot on him. Ryan thinks the messier the better. |
| See all those acorns?! |
| Bananas are funny! |
| Acorns again! These guys were great little helpers getting all those acorns into the trash can. They get a kick out of simple cleaning tasks like that. |
| Ryan likes to accessorize. |
| Somehow they are racing here. We love living on a cul-de-sac. So much room to roam! |
| Cutest guys I have ever seen. |
| Carter had a Power Ranger at his party! What a good uncle! :) |
| It was quite the spectacle. |
| Ryan liked peeking out of the bounce house. I'm not sure how much he actually bounced. |
| Happy 3rd birthday, Carter! |
| Boys, boys, boys! William ate pizza for at least 30 minutes. The other kids were there for maybe five or ten. He is very food-motivated. |
| Audrey and Sophie came up with this game where they put the mulch on the slide, and then a kid slides through it. Apparently it is endlessly entertaining. |
| Water, ice, a spoon, and a bowl. So simple yet so fun. |
| How embarrassing that I popped into father-son night at school. No one really wanted to look at me. Girl on the floor - eek! |
| There was a cute Halloween program at church. We will not be taking Ryan to anything else like that anytime soon. He likes to speak very loudly, but only when it is quiet. I had to take him out, and I ran into several of his little buddies who were also a little on the loud side. We all got a kick out of it. |
| William on the other hand was extremely well-behaved and quiet. |
| Guess which girl got him out on the dance floor? Yep, the cute blonde in the candy corn outfit. Typical. |
| A fun playdate with some of our favorite friends. It's rare to get that many kids in a picture. I believe we are missing just one. She wasn't into the photo thing. |
| Love these boys! |
| Stacey was under the weather, so we took her girls to the park for a couple of hours. Leave it to Kelly to bring a Halloween craft! |
| Sophie is very proud of her creation. |
| Sweet and smart girls! |
| Ta-da! |
| Heading home. The occupants of the wagon changed several times on the short walk home. Everyone wanted to pull the wagon. It was a great deal for me because I didn't have to pull it! |
Ah yes. My claim to fame. There was a kidnapping at my local library the day before Ryan and I went to storytime (we didn't know about the kidnapping at the time). We saw the news truck, but I never saw a camera. One person at school mentioned that they saw me on the news. I looked at the story online, and you only saw us from behind. I was shocked when JP said he saw me on TV. How did he know it was me? Um yeah - they re-edited the story, and it's pretty clearly me here! He texted me this picture. What a lame way to get on TV! For the record, the child was dropped off near another library soon after being kidnapped. They never found the person who did it, but the kid is OK.
What a weird way to end a post! But I need to make lunches and hit the hay. So let's remember all the fun we had during the month of October!
