I think I can, I think I can...

I may only have one other Connecticut post after this! And then I will be speeding toward posts about August 2012 any day now. Woo-hoo!

Half of the family stayed in a rental house just down the road from my mom's house. It has a basement with ping-pong, as well as an arcade video game and a pool. Great for the kids and kids at heart!

It was William's first time to play ping-pong. As is usually the case with any game involving balls, he loved it.
Kelli and Katie developed their own game against the wall.  Pretty smart if you ask me!

Someone is not messing around.

Doing a great job looking cute, as always.

I love Katie's face in this one! She looks genuinely happy.
They make yellow look good.

We love our electronic devices.
My mom gave Mikey and me two nights in a local B&B for Christmas. We didn't stay gone that whole time since we still wanted to see family. I believe this is how I found Ryan when we came home one afternoon. Looks pretty relaxed!
Michael sent me a few pictures of the activities while we were gone. They had a picnic and enjoyed a dip in Rogers Lake.

Our dining spot on our date night out. We are classy enough to have our wine in a paper bag on the table.
This place had such a nice view.
Not a bad view here either! I was relaxing in the hammock while William played in the back yard.

I have always wanted to kayak up there, and we finally did it. It was beautiful!

We always use a tandem kayak. If we didn't, I would be a mile behind everyone else. The tandem works out great for me! Mikey may have other thoughts, but he knows he has no choice. Our first kayaking adventure in Belize did not end well for either one of us, but since then, we have maintained positive attitudes and kept from ridiculing one another. :)
William got in on the Olympics-watching.

Mikey the human basketball net.
Our trip was nearly over, so we had to hit up the beach one more time.
We all hid under the umbrella. We clearly lost our ability to tolerate heat because we were HOT, HOT, HOT out there!
It's hard to play baseball under an umbrella.

They found the perfect place to enjoy a push-up pop.
Notice how very dry Ryan looks here.
Whoops! He fell in, but Mikey scooped him up, and all was well.
Aunt Lisa was a great sport about playing with William in the pool.
Ryan was trying to get past CC. He mistakenly thought he could outwit her.
Ryan allowed Aunt Lisa to play with him in the pool for a very short time. He preferred to be an observer this time around.
There was a lot of beach-ball throwing going on.
And now for the mini-golf grudge match. Uncle Bobby won last time (the most important fact is that he beat Michael and bugged him about it ever since.)
Our huge group held up the golfers like crazy. Oh well!
I don't remember who won this time, but I seem to recall two of the guys tied for first, and Michael did not lose. I just chased the boys around and didn't play, so the notion of keeping score wasn't really in my head.
A lighthouse picture just for Abbey!
