Christmas is in the air...

...and the air is COLD! I tried to teach William "brrrrrr" today, and he made a high-pitched squeaking noise - I guess that's how it sounds to him. There will allegedly be sunshine over the next few days. I'll believe it when I see it. This drizzly, gray weather has been a major downer! I can't tell you how much I miss going out for walks longer than the brisk walk to and from the car to run errands.

Our Christmas will begin a little early this year. We are celebrating it with Mikey's family on Sunday since we're heading to Connecticut on Tuesday. We did this once before, when Mikey and I went to Mexico with my family. I remember driving around the day after our Christmas and wondering why all the shoppers still looked so frazzled. Oh yeah. The world didn't move Christmas Day because of our vacation. Silly people.

Here are a few of my recent favorites.

We didn't get as much snow as they did in south Houston, but it sure was pretty. However, I won't be taking any pictures of our plants in the backyard for awhile. They took a beating!

It may look like he's having fun...really he just wants to get the heck out of the snow and back inside!

Poor kid's shins are probably freezing.

William doing what he does best these days - pointing. The gesture was likely accompanied by "ttthhhhhhhhhhh."

A musical genius, no doubt.

I so don't think you have to be his mother to love that face.

We spend a lot of time playing with and around the Christmas tree.

What a trooper. I harassed him with the camera for so long!
