Weekend Away

Back in March, I spent a weekend in Austin with Abbey. I left Saturday morning and drove back early Monday morning. It was such a refreshing weekend! I even stayed in bed until nine on Sunday...or was it eight? Either way, it felt wonderful.

We ate at Chipotle (my fave!), shopped, took pictures of living creatures that do not look away and say "cheeeeese" when you pull out a camera, drank margaritas, sat around doing absolutely nothing, and participated in a Guitar Girl showcase. OK, I was a spectator at the showcase. Abbey performed a few songs, one of which she wrote. As always, she excels at everything she tries! I felt like such a big girl because we stayed out until at least 1 am on Sunday night. Of course I was tired on Monday, but it was beyond worth it!
