Hodge podge

I am finally posting pictures from October, and here it is, just three days from Christmas! In an effort to speed things up, I am combining some randomness from October. But really - this is our normal life...playing, eating, cleaning...about all I'm missing is sleeping!

Buster is amazing with the kids. His hyper nature peeks through on occasion, but most of the time he is very relaxed. He is always sweet as can be. We are very lucky.

They love to play with the airplane together. Ryan is not so good at steering, and both of them crack up when they run into something.

Ryan was not yet walking here, but he practiced standing all the time. Doesn't he look old?!

These clothes *were* clean, but whatever. My helpers were having fun (and don't tell - but it's their laundry anyway!).

See where this is going?

William will let nothing get in the way of putting those clothes in the hamper...certainly not his pesky little brother!

He really perks up when I ask if he wants to help with laundry. I sometimes think of him like a working dog that needs a task to keep his mind occupied.

Train them early!

How cute is that?!

Mikey and the co-presidents of his fan club.

Look at the adoration in Ryan's eyes! So precious. He spent much of his first year in major mommy mode, but he has finally figured out that his dad is FUN! It's bittersweet for me. I loved it that he always wanted me, but it sure is nice to let Mikey soothe a fussy baby sometimes.

This day, Ryan's diapers were the turkey burgers. William still has the itch to grill on occasion.

Mikey came home late one night, and I decided that I wanted to watch a World Series game during dinner. So I shifted dinner to the living room and shared a picnic with the boys. It was a nice change of pace, and I think William felt like he got away with something because we always eat at the table.

Not surprisingly, William was mesmerized. He can do without cartoons and other kids' shows, but he is a sports nut.
