After four years of flip-flops and anime, I'm about to start a new job filled with high heels and new homes. Rumor has it that my new company is super busy right now and that I'm not going to even have time to be nervous. I beg to differ! I'm always nervous when I start a new phase in my life. It's like the first day of school. Tonight I will stand in my closet and try to find the perfect outfit to dazzle all I meet tomorrow. And after that, my outfits will go downhill quickly. But it's important to make a good first impression!
I decided to take today off to regroup, run some errands, and watch a little daytime television. Ashley will be proud that I watched an episode of "Days of Our Lives," and wow. It's EXACTLY the same as it was in high school, minus Marlena being possessed by the devil. It seems Carrie and Austin want to get married again, but right now, Carrie's still married to Lucas. Sammy and Austin just called off their wedding while they were standing at the altar. You've gotta be kidding me, people. It's great! But not as agreat as Maury! No, today is not paternity test day. It's actually "Man or woman? Are they ballroom babes or dancing dudes?" Yessssss. Daytime television at its finest. So far they all look like (pretty) guys to me. Oh, wait, that is definitely a woman. What woman could stand going on a show and having their gender questioned by an audience full of screaming people?
If you call me tonight and I do not answer, it's because I'm glued to the television, watching the last three episodes of Veronica Mars season 1. Oh man it's good. Next up, season 2! Yippee!
